About Clean Energy
Clean Energy is an industry-based project, seeking to gather input from key stakeholders in selected Nordic tourism sectors to identify means by which to accelerate tourism contribution to Nordic carbon neutrality.
Its main outcome is a white paper providing policy recommendations that address opportunities and challenges involved with an increased share of alternative fuels in Nordic tourism. The main focal points are buses and coaches, marine vessels, rental cars, and hospitality providers. Workshops have been held across the Nordics and online in 2019-2021 in order to gather insight and input from key stakeholders. The project has also sought to further engage visitors in sustainable lifestyle choices and involve them in the decarbonizing success of the Nordics.
