On behalf of the NatNorth Project that belongs to the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Icelandic Chairmanship (2019), we are pleased to invite you to our conference Sustainable Tourism in the North on the 4th and 5th of March 2021 in Harpa Conference Hall in Reykjavík.
The international conference will be the closing event of the eponymous project.
The aim of this conference is to present the working results and give the possibility to exchange different perspectives on the project topics, especially those of the three main projects and their sub-projects.
All the projects worked from different point of views on how to advance sustainable tourism in the Nordic north towards a sustainable development pathway with long term conservation of nature as a priority.
In addition to the projects' participants, experts from a wide range of organizations, institutions and professionals will be involved in open work meetings, panel talks, lectures and sessions in order to have a fruitful exchange of the various perspectives.
Representatives from organizations, institutions and private practitioners in the fields of sustainable tourism in the high north are particularly invited to join the conference whether their focus is nature conservation, clean energy or design, in the collective dealing with the issue of increasing numbers of visitors in the Arctic.
A tentative agenda is coming soon.
